An Ecologically Sustainable Environment

Buderim White House is at one with nature, set at the entrance to Buderim Rainforest/Waterfall Park and its grounds create an ecologically sustainable environment, allowing guests to personally experience natural areas.

Perfectly set facing due north, Buderim White House guests can experience the warmth and enjoyment of the winter sun while the wide curved verandahs provide the perfect protection from the summer sun enhanced by cool ocean breezes.

At the commencement of the B&B construction over 450 native Australian trees, endemic to the neighboring rainforest, were planted creating a screening around the entire premises. To conserve the natural environment and avoid disruption to wildlife movement and breeding patterns of the forest inhabitants, we have no fences or gates along all boundaries of the property to create biodiversity. Night spotting is a favourite at Buderim White House with echidna, frogmouth owl and wild turkey among some of the many sightings. Binoculars are provided for daytime bird watching.

The grounds of Buderim White House are constantly changing and evolving as the garden matures. To tantalize the human senses Buderim White House offers an excellent mix of bird attracting trees and fruit trees and to complete the bed and breakfast experience a selection of fragrant exotics have been grown close to the house and up the posts of the verandah.

The ponds provide still waters and are a constant source of tranquility complimented by the aromatic herb garden.
